Bledsoes take Manhattan (with Brian Bennett)
Mac, Barbara and
Drew Bledsoe were
guests of Katie Couric (NBC's
Today Show) on November 11, 2003. The event was a
special reunion for Mac and Barbara with a former student and classmate of
Drew's. Brian Bennett had contacted
Classmates.com
and submitted an essay about how former teachers (Mac
and Barbara) influenced his life and gave him encouragement during those
difficult teen years. Brian got his chance to thank Barbara
and Mac for taking the time to care and encourage him.
Brian stated that while in school, his classmate Drew Bledsoe, was a
person that always treated him with respect. Much to Brian's
surprise, Drew made a special appearance and gave Brian a Buffalo Bills
game jersey.

After the TODAY Show
After the show, the Bledsoes and Brian
joined Katie Couric and Michael Smith,
CEO of Classmates.com on the street in front of the
studio. Drew threw several autographed footballs to the crowd, which
scored big with the people outside.
