On Monday June 6, 2005,

Today newspaper included a column by sportswriter Jon Saraceno,
that focused on the legal and moral troubles of a few PRO athletes.
Although his story was accurate and well written, it was
unfortunately one-sided. What Mr. Saraceno neglected to mention
were the sports figures who are making a difference with their
celebrity and giving back to their community.
This story appeared the very week that Mac's son Drew, is to be
inducted in the World Sports Humanitarian Hall of Fame. Mac
responded to Mr. Saraceno's column and Mac's comments are at right.
