How to...

How to download and customize the Word document

1.) Download and save the document to your PC

If you are familiar with Microsoft Word, you probably know how to Cut & Paste data in a document. You may not need this degree of detail, but for those of you who are not comfortable with Word, these steps will ensure that your form is filled-out correctly.

By following these few easy steps, you will open a MS Word document, save it to your PC and customize it with your event information. Then you can print as many copies as you need.

  1. Click here to open a MS Word document that will open in a new window.
  2. Save this document to your computer by clicking File and then Save As.
  3. Choose a directory on your hard disk (remember where you saved this file).
2.) Review the document template

The MS Word document you have open looks like the image below. Note that only one "cell" contains ticket information. What you will do now is add your information to the top-left cell. After this step, we'll show you how to copy that data and paste it into the other cells as indicated by the "Ctrl V" text.

3.) Customizing with your information

Click your cursor on the indicated fields (i.e. organization's name). You will notice that the text in the field disappears and you can now type your information.

XYZ School District
Date of your event
Location of venue
Price of ticket (i.e. $20.00)


4.) Copy customized ticket info and paste in cells

Now that you have customized the ticket in the top left cell with your data, you need to copy this information to your computer's memory. To do this, follow these simple instructions.

  1. Place your cursor in the top left area of the cell (in front of the "P" in Parenting With Dignity.
  2. Drag your cursor to the bottom right of the same cell.
  3. Your highlighted information should look like the image at right.
  4. IMPORTANT: Now hold down the "Ctrl" button and press "C" (copy)


5.) Paste into designated cells

To paste this data into the other cells, click your cursor on the indicated fields (those marked as illustrated at right). When your cursor clicks these fields, they will highlight (as indicated).

Press (and hold down) the "Ctrl" button and press "V" (paste). Do this in all other designated cells.

Be sure to "SAVE" your updated document.

Now you can print or copy as many pages as you need for your event.
