Parenting With Dignity is a fundraising opportunity for you
If
marketed properly, you can recover the
cost of Mac's fee and travel expenses - or raise additional funds for
other projects. There is a powerful argument against staging a free event. The
word "FREE" typically denotes low value. Even if you choose to give away every
seat, don't miss an opportunity to emphasize that your special event has value -
expectations will be heightened.
Here's some ideas how you can promote your
event
-
First and foremost, print tickets for the
event showing a $20.00 cost.
-
Print (or stamp) some of
your tickets with 1/2 OFF
-

provided scholarships from an "anonymous benefactor".

One of the other reasons that we encourage
you to print tickets is that most organizations collect the names and email
addresses of people who attend an event to be able to contact them about future
events and fundraisers. Also, this is the best way of automatically registering
people for your door prizes.
Invent Price Reductions:
Ensure a packed auditorium by
offering half-price and "scholarship" tickets to local agencies and
organizations. Below are just a few suggestions of groups that would benefit
from hearing Mac's message:
 |
-
Local welfare office -
Ask counselors to choose 20 needy families
-
School guidance counselors
- Give 5 or 10 tickets for families they know should attend
-

marketing plan example.
