Nationally Known Parenting Expert Coming
May 16
Mac Bledsoe,
father of NFL quarterback Drew Bledsoe and a nationally recognized speaker and
author on parenting, will appear at the Toyota Center
in the Tri-Cities on May 16. This Family
First 2006 event will feature Mac’s presentation titled “Parenting with
Dignity”, connecting to the Bledsoe family’s highly successful Parenting with
Dignity program.
Mac Bledsoe’s
appearance is being presented by the Emmaus Center, a local counseling
agency for area families in need of emotional, mental and spiritual support. Kadlec Medical Center is also sponsoring
the event in conjunction with its annual Safe Kids Saturday.
Mac Bledsoe is
president of the Drew Bledsoe Foundation, established by the Dallas Cowboys
quarterback, to confront issues challenging today’s young people. Mac is very
familiar with the Tri-Cities area, having grown up in Ellensburg, and worked as
a teacher and coach in Benton City, Walla Walla and Yakima. For the past 19 years, Mac has
traveled the country with his wife Barbara delivering a message to encourage
parents to empower their children to make good decisions in life. Mac’s
entertaining and plain-spoken style have brought huge crowds across the country
to hear his insightful talks.
Mac’s
presentation will take place May 16, 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the Toyota Center.
Tickets are $8.00 each and can be purchased through TicketsWest or at the
Toyota Center Ticket Office. Discount available for groups of 10 or more.
